Associacao Desportiva Cultural e Social de Carvalhais
The Carvalhais Social, Cultural and Sport Association (ADCS Carvalhais) was founded in 1991. In its early years, the association focused mainly on organising and participating in football tournaments. Over time, its portfolio expanded, with mountain biking and other outdoor sport activities bringing a fresh dynamic to the organisation.
Today, ADCS is a young and active organisation based in northern Portugal, with an increasingly international outlook towards Europe and beyond. Its activities now span a wide range of sports and community initiatives, including outdoor sport events, fitness classes for women and seniors, hip-hop classes for children and young people, traditional games, 3x3 basketball tournaments, and various cycling-related events.
In addition to its sport and cultural activities, ADCS is a member of the Portuguese Federation of Digital Games. The association also maintains strong partnerships with the Professional Agriculture School in Carvalhais, the regional Polytechnic University, local primary schools, and the municipal government.
