Room Service Theatrale Erlebnisräume e.V. is a non-profit association consisting of 9 members, all of whom are involved in performance or are actors themselves. Iin a broader context, it is a network that has been established in Cologne for 20 years with approximately 40 artists (acting, music, performance, dance) with a mission to address politically sensitive topics and perform them in the unique Room Service format.
The "Room Service" concept offers a performance experience where the audience navigates different rooms, making choices that influence their experience. Each performance addresses relevant social topics and includes a variety of formats, ensuring new team combinations and energies for every show. The performance space itself, including stairways, becomes part of the art, encouraging interaction. The experience promotes intimacy and surprise, emphasizing personal decision-making, while audience members are gradually brought together in a final ritual to form a collective body.
